Mobile command vehicles offer designated areas for communication and coordination between first responders on-scene of an emergency. The chassis is a Freightliner M2-112 conventional chassis and is powered by a Cummins ISL 450 HP engine. Chicago Fire Department’s truck includes two slide-outs that are 9 and 10 ft in width and 30 in in extension depth. On the exterior of the vehicle, you with find a custom fabricated aluminum frame and door covering an LCD display which includes raceway wiring to power the external video and audio display.

Key technology on the truck includes Google Cloud Jamboard Interactive Display, Cisco router, switching and phone system, two WTI H.264 HD mast cameras with record and monitoring, in-vehicle cell phone signal booster kit, color laser printer, and an 8 in touch screen display dedicated to monitoring and controlling the vehicle’s critical systems.
