Project Overview:
The City of Hampton Virginia Police Department, Fire Department and Emergency Management Agency collaborated on a state of the art design for a Frontline Communications C-45X-4 mobile command and communications vehicle. This large mobile emergency operations center will operate locally and state wide for planned and unplanned events.
Technology:
Custom touch-screen A/V control system for 31 video sources and 19 interior + 2 exterior displays. Additional A/V features include 3 PTZ cameras, 7 perimeter dome cameras with recording server, video teleconferencing system with large touch screen display, and indoor/outdoor speaker system with wireless microphone for PA briefings.
Robust and hardened network infrastructure featuring a 6 SIM card bonding cellular data router, auto-acquire satellite data system, and industrial indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points.
Substantial radio capabilities including: 11 tri-band radios, 1 aviation radio, 8 position headset/intercom system, a radio
interoperability suite, and a 40-position radio patching matrix.
Additional features include an auto-deploy Marine radar system with AIS and touchscreen control for tracking ship traffic, a weatherstation with flush in-wall display, 48 position individually fused 12 VDC power distribution, and multiple time zone clocks.
