Project Overview:

The team at WLBT in Jackson, MS has a new Storm Chaser to keep their community informed in severe weather emergencies. This rugged Storm Chaser is built on the new Chevy Silverado platform. This great looking truck now holds the latest technology to broadcast live from the field.

Technology:

This Storm Chaser is designed for video capture and broadcast of weather events using the Frontline Communication’s custom Live & Drive camera system. One camera is for talent presentation and the other is for a POV driver view. Utilizing either the Cradlepoint or the LiveU, video is fed to the newsroom for real time video and easy switching from the talent position. We’d like to thank the team at WLBT for working with us on this uniquely designed vehicle.
